In recent years, wireless lighting control has gained significant popularity. Not only is costly installation and cabling no longer necessary, but compared to wired dimming technologies the user experience is also vastly improved. EnOcean (e.g. supported by Mean Well’s LCM-EO LED Drivers) is perfect for placing wireless switches. Bluetooth enables lighting control in any imaginable space within the technology’s range. Moreover, a sleek smartphone app offers more sophisticated control options than a physical dimmer. Mean Well has developed an integrated solution for LED wireless control: Mean Well PWM-120BLE and LCM-BLE series. Supporting the modern Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) standard, it is compatible with most smartphones available today. Software-wise, it relies on the modular Casambi lighting management system. The free Casambi app (available on Android and iOS) features many smart control options (e.g. dimming, scenes). Commands received by the MeanWell PWM-120BLE via Bluetooth are relayed to the connected LEDs via PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). ProConnecting offers the Mean Well Wireless LED drivers in a Constant Voltage (CV) option for common LED luminaires like LED strips or LED bars. Both 12V (PWM-120-12BLE) and 24V (PWM-120-24BLE) variants are available. MeanWell Bluetooth CV LED power supplies are rated for 120W.
