In many lighting projects, the installation of dimmers is complex and costly. Not only is additional hardware required, but extensive cabling is also necessary. Wireless lighting control systems are an attractive alternative. Mean Well Constant Current (CC) LCM-40 and LCM-60 Wireless LED Drivers offer an integration solution of power supply and wireless module for easy installation and use with LED illuminants. Two popular wireless technologies are available: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and EnOcean. MeanWell’s BLE-enabled LED Drivers can be controlled via the free Casambi smartphone app (available for Android and iOS). Dimming, scene control, and many additional features create a powerful lighting control interface. EnOcean, on the other hand, is a standardized way to communicate with energy-independent wireless sensors. EnOcean devices (e.g. light switches) generate the little electricity required, for example through piezo elements or solar cells, and thus make wiring superfluous. Mean Well Constant Current (CC) LCM-40 LED Drivers deliver a power of up to 40W. Via a DIP switch on the LED Driver’s case, output currents like 350mA, 500mA, 600mA, 700mA, 900mA, and 1050mA can be selected. The more powerful MeanWell LCM-60 series (rated power: 60W) offers output current options like 500mA, 600mA, 700mA, 900mA, 1050mA, and 1400mA.
