Push-button dimming is one of the simplest and least expensive ways to control LED light output. It is perfectly suited for small to medium-sized lighting installations. Its easy installation sets button dimming apart. A sample pushbutton is connected to the LED driver, the LED power supply itself is plugged into 230V mains on one end and connected to the LEDs on the other. By holding the pushbutton for varying durations, the user controls the light output. A short press is interpreted as an on/off command by the LED power supply. A longer hold (between 1.5 and 10 seconds) is translated to a dimming command. If the user subsequently presses the button a second time, the dimming direction is reversed (dark to bright or bright to dark). Push-button dimming is often marketed as Push Dim, Touch Dim, or Switch Dim. Irrespective of the designation used, Snappy Constant Voltage (CV) Push Button LED Drivers are the perfect choice for powering LED strips, LED bars, and any other LED luminaire with integrated current limiting resistors. ProConnecting offers Snappy Push Dim CV power supplies with power ratings like 60W, 100W, 132W, and 150W. Common direct current (DC) output voltages like 12V or 24V are available.
