Beim Mean Well RSP-500-24 handelt es sich um ein geschlossenes AC/DC Schaltnetzteil mit einem Weitbereichseingang von 85 bis 264 VAC (Derating bei 85 – 100 VAC). Dieses leistungsstarke Netzteil liefert bis zu 504 W Nennleistung und erzeugt eine geregelte Ausgangsspannung von 24 VDC.

Die Netzteile der MeanWell RSP-500-Serie wurden für einen direkten Verbau in Maschinen und Schaltschränken entwickelt. Die schlanke Bauweise sowie die niedrige Profilhöhe von 40,5mm ermöglichen dabei einen flexiblen Einsatz im Anwendungsbereich der Messtechnik und Automatisierung. 

Weiterhin zeichnet sich die Produktreihe von Mean Well durch zahlreiche Zusatzfeatures aus. Mit der integriertenaktiven PFC-Funktion und dem DC-OK Relaiskontakt sorgt die MeanWell RSP-500-Serie für eine stabile Stromversorgung. Die Schaltnetzteile verfügen außerdem über eine Fernsteuerungsfunktion (Remote Control) für das Ein- und Ausschalten sowie Fernabtastung (Remote Sense), welches einen zuverlässigen Betrieb und eine erhöhte Sicherheit gewährleistetet.

Die Mean Well RSP-500-Serie ist des Weiteren mit einem DC-Lüfter ausgestattet. Mittels dieser Lüfterkühlung arbeitet die Netzteilreihe bei Umgebungstemperaturen von -30°C bis +70°C (Derating ab +50°C) und bei einer relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit von 20 bis 90%. Dabei erzielt die RSP-500-Produktreihe von MeanWell einen hohen Wirkungsgrad von bis zu 90,5%.

Nicht zuletzt verfügen die Schaltnetzteile über einen Schutz gegen Kurzschluss, Überlast, Überspannung sowie Überhitzung. Die MeanWell RSP-500-Serie erfüllt zudem alle notwendigen regulatorischen Anforderungen (EN62368-1, EN61000-3-2, EN61000-3-3).
