DALI Control Units
DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is an established protocol for controlling lighting systems. The manufacturer-independent standard is defined in IEC 62386 and is the successor to the 0-10V/1-10V low-voltage dimming method. Up to 64 devices such as LED power supplies, sensors or switches can be operated via the DALI bus. The 16V DC operating voltage is supplied by a special DALI bus power supply such as the MEAN WELL DLP-04 (in linear design or for TS35 top-hat rails). In the best case scenario, LED light sources are integrated directly via a DALI-compatible LED driver – ProConnecting offers DALI constant voltage (CV) LED power supplies, DALI constant current (CC) LED power supplies and DALI constant power (CP) LED power supplies. For some applications, however, the only suitable dimmable LED power supply can be found among the Mean Well power supplies with 3-in-1 dimming (1-10V / PWM / resistor) – also available in constant voltage (CV), constant current (CC) and constant power (CP) variants. Integration is still effortless thanks to the DALI-PWM signal converter. The MEAN WELL DAP-04 signal converter makes the dream of a tailor-made DALI lighting system a reality.
