Besonders die schnelle und einfache Montage, möglich durch das hochwertige, aufschnappbare Isolierstoffgehäuse, sprechen für die PSS Transformatoren von Breve. Aufgrund der doppelten Isolation ist eine weitere Erdung nicht notwendig. Weiterhin sind die Trasformatoren mit der Schutzklasse II ausgestattet und verfügen über die Schutzarten IP20 (N-Serie), IP30 und IP40 (PSS 10, PSS 20). Der Betrieb kann bei einer maximalen Umgebungstemperatur von 40°C aufgenommen werden. Zusätzlich sind die PSS Transformatoren standardmäßig gemäß den Sicherheitsnormen EN 61558-2-4 und EN 61558-2-6 gefertigt.

Das STM 160 230V/24V ist ein Einphasen Transformator, welcher sich für die allgemeine Anwendung sowie für den Einbau in Industrie- und elektrotechnischen Anlagen eignet. Bei dieser Version handelt es sich um eine sehr sparsame Ausführung. Zudem besitzt der Transformator die Schutzklasse I und Schutzart IP00, sowie die Isolationsklasse B (130°C).
