With the XLN-40-12, MEAN WELL introduces a compact, fully encapsulated 12V constant voltage LED driver designed for demanding lighting applications. This power unit delivers a rated power of 40.8 W at a rated current of 3.4 A and features a durable IP67-rated Class II plastic housing.

The MEAN WELL XLN-40-12 operates over a wide input voltage range of 100 to 305 VAC as well as a DC input range of 141 to 400 VDC. It is suitable for emergency lighting installations (EL function compliant with EN61347-2-13 Appendix J at 176–280 VDC). Featuring a high typical efficiency of 86% and fanless convection cooling, it is rated to operate reliably at case temperatures from -25°C up to +90°C.

As a dedicated 12V constant voltage model, the XLN-40-12 provides a fixed output without NFC programming or dimming capabilities. It is designed to be flicker-free in accordance with EU ErP guidelines and consumes less than 0.5 W in standby mode.
